The Camino de Santiago, the Way of Saint James, is a network of trails serving pilgrimage to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain. Millions walk and bike the Camino as a spiritual retreat. The Troy Public Library will present a two-part event exploring travel on the Camino de Santiago.

  • May 30th:  Join us for a viewing of “The Way”, the movie starring Martin Sheen that inspired millions to walk the Way of St. James and experience a life changing pilgrimage for the first time.  Register online.
  • June 6th:  We will discuss spiritual and practical advice from a Troy Pilgrim who walked 200 miles on the trail into Santiago in September 2017. Slideshow, handouts, resources and lots of enthusiasm in encouraging you to walk the Camino de Santiago. A trip that will change your life! Come to either program or both!  Register online.
