Music Fundamentals is a pre-music theory class intended for students applying to music programs or conservatories to prepare them for first-year music theory, for those interested in a general music class, or those who just want to brush up on the basics! Music Fundamentals will consist of 5 lessons featuring music reading and notation, ear and intervals training, constructing musical scales and modes, and other topics.

The Music Fundamentals class is taught by musician and composer Muse en Lystrala. She has studied music at Rhode Island College, the Worcester Academy of Music, the Sibelius Academy Open University, and SUNY Schenectady. Muse directs classical ensemble Geek Musica, a group specializing in the performance of video game and film music, and is the executive director and lead composer at Queenship Game Studio. She lives and works in Troy.
